About This Position

Supervisor Quality & Accredit

Position Summary:
The Supervisor, Quality and Accreditation, plays a key role in supporting Parkview Health’s mission, vision, and strategic goals by researching, analyzing, planning, educating, implementing, evaluating, and communicating performance and quality improvement initiatives. This role collaborates closely with the Manager of Quality and Accreditation to build a cohesive Quality Accreditation Specialist (QAS) team and serves as a liaison between QAS personnel and Quality Management leadership. The Supervisor provides mentorship, guidance, and effective communication to ensure team success.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Improvement & Leadership

  • Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of performance and quality improvement projects.
  • Mentor and serve as a role model for the QAS team.
  • Communicate changes, updates, and expectations to staff in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to promote continuous improvement and innovation.

Accreditation, Regulatory, and Standards Compliance

  • Serve as a subject-matter expert in regulatory, accreditation, and certification processes.
  • Assist with coordination, standardization, and evaluation of hospital licensure, accreditation, and certification systems.
  • Maintain current knowledge of state Department of Health regulations, CMS, and The Joint Commission standards.
  • Support staff education on regulatory updates, including committee presentations, training, and onboarding new QAS staff.
  • Assist with teaching and updating the Regulatory Champion program.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Collect, analyze, and report on quality and compliance data.
  • Develop statistical displays and dashboards to support performance improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in research, statistical analysis, and monitoring of quality metrics.

Team & Project Management

  • Build, mentor, and lead a strong, high-performing QAS team.
  • Manage multiple tasks, projects, and staff priorities to achieve department goals.
  • Support survey preparation and follow-up activities, including plans of correction and appeals.

Education & Licensure:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or health-related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure or equivalent in a health-related field required.
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) required or must be obtained within two years.
  • Healthcare Accreditation Certification Program (HACP) or project management experience preferred.

Addendums: Required for 0153 Nurse Leader, 0249 Registry RN, 0252 Registered Nurse, 0235 Advanced Registered Nurse, and 0236 Expert Registered Nurse.

Experience & Skills:

  • 3–5 years of experience in quality improvement, regulatory compliance, utilization review, infection control, or related field.
  • Previous leadership or management experience preferred.
  • Experience with EPIC EHR preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control, variance monitoring, and quality improvement methodology preferred.
  • Public speaking and presentation experience required.

  • Other – Maintain technical and regulatory expertise; serve as a resource for QAS team, hospital leaders, and medical staff; oversee survey preparation and follow-up.
