Café Attendant - The Springs Resort & Spa at Wellspring Hospitality LLC – Pagosa springs, Colorado

The Springs Resort & Spa is seeking a friendly and service-focused Café Attendant to join Clouds in My Coffee in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. This morning-forward café offers fresh coffee, juices, mimosas, sweet and savory crepes, grab-and-go sandwiches and wraps, fruit cups, and locally made souvenirs — all designed to help guests begin their day energized and relaxed.

This role is essential to delivering an inviting, efficient, and memorable morning experience. The ideal candidate enjoys early mornings, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in providing warm, attentive hospitality.

Your Future Career

Guest Service & Café Experience

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service.
• Take and fulfill food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
• Answer questions about menu offerings and make thoughtful recommendations.
• Provide helpful information about resort amenities and local activities when appropriate.
• Maintain a welcoming and upbeat atmosphere during peak morning hours.

Food & Beverage Preparation

• Prepare coffee, espresso beverages, juices, mimosas, and other drinks according to established standards.
• Assemble crepes, sandwiches, wraps, fruit cups, and other grab-and-go items.
• Maintain portion control and presentation consistency. Follow proper labeling, dating, and rotation procedures (FIFO).
• Monitor product freshness and communicate inventory needs to leadership.

Retail & POS Operations

• Accurately process transactions using the POS system.
• Assist guests with retail purchases, including locally made souvenirs.
• Maintain organized and visually appealing retail displays.
• Support opening and closing procedures, including cash reconciliation

Cleanliness & Sanitation

• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and café environment.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, counters, and seating areas regularly.
• Ensure compliance with responsible alcohol service guidelines when applicable.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous café, barista, or food service experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of coffee preparation and beverage service preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work early mornings, weekends, holidays, and peak seasons.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to stand and move for extended periods throughout a shift.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, or carry items up to approximately 40 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate coffee machines, blenders, and food prep equipment.
• Exposure to hot beverages, food preparation tools, and cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to maintain focus during high-volume morning service periods.
