Job Function Statement
The Family and Partnerships Coordinator is responsible for fostering strong, collaborative relationships between families and the school community to support student success and a culture of partnership. This role designs, implements, and manages family engagement initiatives, with a primary focus on developing, coordinating, and sustaining an effective parent volunteer program alongside the Family and Partnerships Manager. The Coordinator recruits, trains, schedules, and supports parent volunteers while ensuring alignment with school policies. Through clear communication, collaboration with staff, and ongoing evaluation of engagement efforts, the Family and Partnerships Coordinator strengthens family participation, builds trust, and enhances the overall school experience for students and families.
In addition to primary responsibilities, the Family and Partnerships Coordinator proactively researches, evaluates, and cultivates relationships with community organizations to establish strategic partnerships that align with Aug Prep’s mission. This role engages with potential partners to identify and secure resources that address the needs of the Aug Prep community, ensuring families are meaningfully supported, seen, and heard.

- The coordinator ensures clear, professional, and respectful communication that aligns with the school’s mission and values. Timely responses to emails, calls, and messages are essential, along with proactive follow-up to keep families, staff, and partners informed. All communications, both internal and external, are guided by confidentiality, cultural responsiveness, and a solution-oriented approach.
- The coordinator collaborates with school leadership, faculty, staff, and community partners to align family engagement efforts with school priorities. Emphasizing shared ownership, active listening, and mutual accountability, the role seeks input to enhance programs and relationships. The coordinator exemplifies professionalism, flexibility, and trust while supporting cross-departmental initiatives.
- Continuously seek professional growth through building and department meetings/professional development, formal coursework, workshops, and seminars/in-services.

What We’re Looking For
- A belief in the ability of every child and a commitment to ensure excellence for each student.
- A GED or HS Diploma, a bachelor's degree, including any other requirements for accreditation, (Master’s degree a plus). State teaching license not required;
- Active participation in a Christian church.
- Effective oral and written communication skills
