Job Title: Preventative Maintenance Technician (PM Tech)

Position Summary

The Preventative Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall condition, safety, and functionality of Tanglewood Resort’s facilities through routine inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance programs. This role ensures guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house systems operate efficiently and meet resort standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on guest rooms, buildings, and equipment
• Inspect HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and appliances for proper operation
• Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner
• Conduct routine checks of lighting, fixtures, doors, locks, and safety equipment
• Identify maintenance issues and proactively address potential problems
• Assist with minor repairs including carpentry, painting, drywall, and basic mechanical work
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
• Support emergency repairs and on-call needs as required
• Assist other maintenance team members and departments as needed

Work Environment

• Resort setting including guest rooms, public areas, and outdoor spaces
• May require evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts
• On-call availability may be required

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required

Previous maintenance or facilities experience preferred (hospitality a plus)

Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair

Ability to use hand and power tools safely

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Good communication and customer service skills

Valid driver’s license may be required

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and perform physical labor for extended periods

Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
