Description:

School-Based Part-Time Mental Health Therapist

Join our dedicated team as a Part-Time Mental Health Therapist, providing vital support to students in a dynamic school environment. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people while working within a collaborative and supportive educational community.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions with students to address emotional, behavioral, and mental health concerns

- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with students, parents, and school staff

- Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate and confidential records

- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school personnel to support student well-being and academic success

- Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies or urgent mental health situations

- Promote mental health awareness and resilience-building activities within the school community

Skills and Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field

- Valid licensure or certification as a mental health counselor or therapist (e.g., LCSW, LMHC, LMFT)

- Prior experience working with children and adolescents in a school or clinical setting preferred

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards

- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including some after-school or early evening sessions

- Knowledge of adolescent development and mental health issues common in school-aged populations

Requirements:

The applicant must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen and physical. A valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License is required. FBI, Childline, and Criminal clearances are required.
