About This Position
Position Summary:
Engaged stewardship of donor engagement is a vital component of successful fundraising. The Donor Engagement Manager supports the Advancement department's fundraising efforts through donor stewardship, prospect research, and data management. This role works collaboratively with the Advancement team under the supervision of the Director of Annual Fund and Membership.
Essential Functions:
Stewardship
· Create and implement a donor stewardship program at the Museum, which will schedule and track communication and interactions with donors through personalized outreach and tailored communication to increase retention
Prospect Research
· Prepare research reports and profiles using research tools and resources in support of Museum leadership and Philanthropy Officers
· Provide in-depth individual profiles and summary materials to support major solicitations, stewardship events, and Board development
· Manage and keep abreast of research tools
Data Management and Analytics
· Serve as Tessitura liaison for the Advancement Department which includes coordinating with IT and onboarding division colleagues
· Generate reports, donor lists, and mailing lists as needed
· Maintain accurate donor data tracking cultivation activities
· Analyze donor data to identify trends and ROI metrics
· Collaborate on Board reports and Annual Report donor lists
Additional Responsibilities
· Support cultivation and stewardship events as needed
· Provide administrative assistance as needed
· Other duties as assigned
Requirements:Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree and/or 2+ years of hands-on administrative experience, preferably donor-related
within a Development or Advancement office
· Ability to handle confidential information and ensure compliance with all security requirements
· Strong prospect research skills
· Strong project management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems (Tessitura and/or Prospect2 preferred)
Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively
