Job Description

Vice President, Strategic Sourcing & Category Management

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Vice President, Strategic Sourcing & Category Management in United States.

This senior leadership role is responsible for shaping and executing enterprise-wide sourcing strategies that directly impact operational performance, guest experience, and financial outcomes across a large, multi-site live entertainment organization. You will lead strategic sourcing efforts with a strong emphasis on Food & Beverage, while also overseeing indirect procurement categories such as facilities, services, and technology. The position requires a highly commercial mindset to transform procurement into a value-generating function through cost optimization, supplier performance management, and strategic partnerships. You will collaborate closely with executive leadership across operations, culinary, finance, and legal teams to align sourcing decisions with broader business objectives. This is a high-impact role in a fast-paced, decentralized environment where innovation, scale, and consistency must coexist. You will also build and lead a category management organization designed to elevate procurement into a core strategic capability.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide strategic sourcing strategies, with a primary focus on Food & Beverage and additional oversight of indirect procurement categories.
  • Build and manage a high-performing category management organization covering F&B, distribution, concessions, facilities, professional services, and technology.
  • Partner with executive leadership, culinary, operations, and finance teams to align sourcing strategies with margin targets, guest experience goals, and enterprise value creation.
  • Design and implement category strategies that drive cost savings, mitigate risk, improve supplier performance, and ensure operational consistency across venues.
  • Lead major RFPs, contract negotiations, and supplier selection processes in collaboration with internal stakeholders and legal teams.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with global, national, and local suppliers to maximize long-term value and performance.
  • Monitor supplier performance across cost, quality, service, and ESG metrics, driving continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Integrate supplier diversity, sustainability, and innovation into sourcing strategies and decision-making frameworks.
  • Leverage procurement technologies and analytics platforms to improve visibility, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Track, analyze, and report sourcing performance, savings, and category metrics to executive leadership.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain leadership roles.
  • Deep expertise in Food & Beverage sourcing within hospitality, retail, or multi-site operational environments.
  • Proven track record managing large-scale, high-volume supply chains and multi-million or multi-billion-dollar spend portfolios.
  • Strong understanding of commodity markets, distributor models, and food service economics (including yield, waste, and margin drivers).
  • Advanced negotiation, contract management, and commercial structuring skills.
  • Experience working with major distributors and procurement models (e.g., broadline distributors and GPO programs).
  • Strong leadership experience with the ability to build and scale high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency with procurement platforms (e.g., Coupa or similar systems).
  • Experience integrating ESG, sustainability, and supplier diversity initiatives into sourcing strategies.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and executive-level influencing skills.
Benefits:
  • Competitive annual salary ranging from $200,000 to $260,000
  • Performance-based bonus eligibility
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching
  • Paid time off, including vacation days, sick leave, and 11 company holidays
  • Opportunity to lead enterprise-level transformation in a high-impact strategic function
  • Exposure to global-scale operations across live entertainment infrastructure
  • Strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and supplier diversity initiatives
  • Collaborative executive environment with cross-functional leadership engagement
