SUMMARY:
Responsible for implementing and ensuring all Environmental Services operations on assigned shift are in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures and high standard levels.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Ensures all Company Policies and Procedures are adhered to in the Environmental Services department on assigned shift.
- Ensures that all cleaning materials, chemicals, and equipment are used in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
- Maintains strict adherence that all OSHA Safety rules and regulations are followed.
- Responsible for the supervision and coordination of Housekeeping staff activities throughout the casino ensuring approved standards of cleanliness is displayed.
- Makes recommendations and suggestions to hire, promote, evaluate, reward, discipline and discharge of all housekeeping Employees.
- Assists in the selecting, training scheduling and evaluating of personnel.
- Responsible for advising management of repairs and replacements necessary in assigned areas and is accountable for cleanliness and overall condition of the public areas, restrooms and offices.
- Leads by setting a positive example to all employees.
- Interacts with guests and other casino departments in a professional and courteous manner.
- Will drive to other sites to clean gaming floor and employee areas as part of their daily duties.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

CERTIFICATES, LICENSE, AND REGISTRATIONS
- Must be able to submit supporting documents of education and training (High School Diploma, GED, Degree and Certificates) to support qualifications.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license in good standing according to the licensing rules and regulations.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain in good standing a Driver’s License and qualify for Fleet Management coverage on company vehicles.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or GED required with five (5) years’ experience in housekeeping and three (3) years successful supervisory experience required (G9)
- High School diploma or GED required with four (4) years’ experience in housekeeping and three (3) years successful supervisory experience (G10)
- High School diploma or GED with an AA Degree with six (6) years Environmental Services or Housekeeping experience with two (2) to four (4) years successful supervisory experience (G11)
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises all Environmental Services employees on assigned shifts.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong organizational skills required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

While performing the duties of this job, the Employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to risk of fumes, electrical shock and radiation. The Employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to extreme heat.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke.
