Business Analyst – Brokerage/Wealth Management

Locations: Remote

Job Description

FITS Consulting is looking for Business Analysts with brokerage/investment industry experience to assist our clients with back-office and middle-office systems implementations.

We are looking for candidates with solid brokerage/wealth management background and prior experience in a business analyst role on a major platform implementation project.

Responsibilities
  • Brokerage settlement platform conversion/implementation.
  • Perform gap analysis to determine current/future state and process flows.
  • Define and document business requirements (BRD).
  • Write effective user stories that are development ready.
  • Establish and maintain communication with client business and technical groups regarding progress of conversion/implementation.
  • Work with Project Office groups monitoring and reporting milestone and planned activities.
  • Participate Mock and Parallel conversion testing activities.
  • Ensure the testing and training process are running smoothly.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of brokerage/wealth management industry business analyst experience
  • 7+ years' experience within the Capital Markets/Wealth Management industry related to trade settlement and reporting for various financial products such as equities and fixed income.
  • Prior experience on large scale wealth management system implementations.
  • Successful track record for completing projects tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Extensive client facing and problem-solving experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong documentation and presentation experience.
  • Traditional Business Analyst experience including (documenting current and future state, cross functional flows, developing/modifying business requirement documents, user acceptance testing).
  • Experience implementing/converting brokerage operation systems including onboarding accounts and processing to the new platform.
  • Working knowledge of all areas of brokerage back-office processing a major plus
  • Proficient in all Microsoft applications, especially Excel and SQL.
  • Experience in Agile teams.
