We invite applications for a faculty position in the Division of Urogynecology/This is an open rank, open track full-time faculty position in theDepartment of Obstetrics and Gynecology. UNM's Urogynecology Division has anestablished fellowship, has a busy clinical practice, and is active in researchand education.
The successful incumbent they will be involved with clinicalteaching and clinical research at clinics on and off campus. The Division ishost of an accredited Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgeryfellowship, with a primary objective to train well-rounded, subspecialistphysicians who are experts in surgical anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiologyof the pelvic floor. With the guidance and collective experience of ourfaculty, fellows develop teaching and research expertise in pelvic floor disordersto assist in the development of successful and productive academic careers. TheDivision of Urogynecology is also home of a dedicated pessary clinic focused onthe care of women with prolapse and incontinence who prefer non-surgicaltreatment of their pelvic floor dysfunction. Additionally, the Division ofUrogynecology also welcomes creative research opportunities with a team ofresearch coordinators to aid in these adventures. To fulfill this position weare seeking a highly motivated, well trained, academic focused physician. The incumbenthired will be expected to participate in the education and surgical training ofmedical students, residents and fellows in the clinic, classroom, and operatingroom, and will provide additional surgical opportunities for training residentsand fellows. A demonstrated commitment to diversity,equity, inclusion and student success, as well as working with broadly diversecommunities.
