About This Position
Description:
The Caregiving Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that high-quality caregiving services are provided to clients and families. In this role, you will serve as the main point of contact for clients and caregivers while helping individuals improve their quality of life. The Caregiving Coordinator works closely with the Administrator/Executive Director to support the daily operations and growth of the caregiving division.
Primary Responsibilities- Serve as the main contact for clients and caregivers to ensure services are meeting client needs.
- Take inquiry and referral calls, provide information about services, and follow up on pending referrals.
- Meet with prospective clients, conduct in-person visits, and obtain signed service agreements.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and conduct routine check-ins and visits to ensure satisfaction with services.
- Maintain and update client care plans and documentation.
- Schedule caregivers to ensure continuity of care and match caregiver qualifications with client needs.
- Recruit, hire, orient, and evaluate caregiving staff.
- Supervise caregivers and ensure services meet company quality standards.
- Maintain relationships with current referral sources and identify new referral opportunities to promote caregiving services.
- Assist with payroll by verifying employee hours and reviewing timesheets for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with billing, invoicing clients, recording payments, and following up on outstanding accounts.
- Maintain accurate documentation including client files, visit notes, service logs, and reports.
- Assist leadership in developing procedures and initiatives to improve care coordination and services.
- Comply with confidentiality requirements and maintain client privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Understand responsibilities as a mandated reporter and report known or suspected abuse of elders or dependent adults as required by law.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator/Executive Director.
- Education or experience in business administration, office management, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and remain calm in high-demand situations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative to improve operations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must pass fingerprint clearance and Department of Justice background screening.
- Must complete a statement of prior criminal convictions.
- Must obtain TB clearance.
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid California driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance.
- Two professional references required.
