Pay Rate: $38 – $44 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities Available
Southern Live Oak Wellness (SLOW), LLC is an evidence-based, client-centered behavioral health organization offering Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Day and Evening Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), Residential Treatment, and specialized inpatient services. We provide care across multiple levels of need in a warm, welcoming environment that meets clients where they are and empowers them to “be the great person they were always meant to be.”
As part of our continued growth and commitment to expanding access to specialized care, S.L.O.W. Academy is opening an 8-bed inpatient treatment center dedicated to adolescents struggling with eating disorders. This program will provide highly structured, multidisciplinary care designed specifically for adolescents, supporting both medical stabilization and long-term recovery.
Position OverviewAt Southern Live Oak Wellness Academy, Registered Nurses (RNs) play a vital role in the treatment team and are often the first medical professional to interact with clients upon admission. The RN is responsible for monitoring patients’ medical status, administering medications, documenting clinical information, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care.

Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive nursing assessments and ongoing patient monitoring
Record patient histories and maintain accurate clinical documentation
Administer medications and injections in accordance with physician orders
Monitor and record vital signs and clinical observations
Assist with medication management and medication education
Ensure adherence to Universal Precautions and infection control standards
Observe and assess patients for clinical signs and symptoms and follow prescribed treatment plans
Communicate medical concerns promptly to the Director of Nursing and Clinical Director
Facilitate health education groups, including:
General Health Education
Medication Education
Medication/Drug Interaction Awareness
Provide education to patients regarding health conditions and treatment plans
Collaborate with therapists and the treatment team to incorporate medical considerations into treatment planning
Document and carry out verbal medical orders from the Director of Nursing or Clinical Director
Provide routine nursing care under the supervision of the Clinical Liaison/Medical Director
Participate in treatment team meetings and case consultations
Attend and participate in required in-service trainings and staff development
Participate in organizational committees such as:
Performance Improvement
Utilization Review
Fire & Disaster Safety
Maintain required certifications including CPR, First Aid, Crisis Intervention, Infection Control, and Fire Safety
Maintain a team-oriented, collaborative work environment
Demonstrate flexibility, accountability, and commitment to high-quality patient care
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Minimum 1 year of experience working with behavioral health, psychiatric, or chemical dependency populations preferred
Experience in partial hospitalization, residential, or outpatient behavioral health settings preferred
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
Current CPR certification
Ability to pass background screening with no felony or substance abuse convictions within the past five years
Strong communication, teamwork, and patient education skills
