About This Position

OVERVIEW

The Food Safety Quality Clerk supports the Food Safety Quality team by ensuring accurate documentation, data entry, and compliance with food safety programs. This role focuses primarily on reviewing records for accuracy, maintaining traceability documentation, and assisting with facility compliance audits.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESULTS

  • Responsible for writing/creating Standard Work Instructions for all Quality & Production procedures.
  • Daily verification of Production Paperwork for review of accuracy and completion.
  • Performs data entry into various programs and/or database to support accurate and timely tracking and reporting of the plant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Established and maintains general and confidential files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Performs general office functions, such as filing, ordering and maintaining supplies and completing paperwork – as required to support plant needs.
  • Maintains information systems supporting plant production; coordinates and/or produces plant reporting requirements.
  • Creates plants toolboxes and maintains knowledge of PFI policies in order to respond to employee questions and/or supervisor/manager requests.
  • Computer proficient, Microsoft word, Excel & bilingual preferred.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred

Work Experience

  • Six months experience in administrative role, utilizing communication skills preferred

Skills and Knowledge

  • Ability to read, interpret and follow written job instructions.
  • Ability to follow and comply with quality standards.
  • Ability to comprehend and comply with GMP rules and Food Safety guidelines.
  • Ability to work as contributing member within the team.
  • Ability to frequently lift/move material weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to operate a PC (keyboard/mouse).

ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Noise level in work environment is moderate, Standard office setting.
  • Eye, hearing, hair nets, bump hats, lab coats may be required.
