Pinelawn is seeking an experienced and detailed-oriented Project Manager to oversee construction, development, infrastructure maintenance, and operational projects throughout the cemetery, while ensuring their timely completion. The ideal candidate for this position must possess a strong sense of efficiency, accountability and self-management skills.
Job Duties:
• Plan, execute, and close projects on time and within scope and budget, managing all phases from initiation through completion.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets; monitor progress and communicate updates to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead, supervise, and develop crews and contractors, fostering a high-performance, safety-first work culture.
• Oversee the maintenance and inspection of facilities, grounds, and infrastructure, ensuring all systems and structures are kept to established standards.
• Enforce OSHA safety protocols and ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
• Manage procurement processes, including vendor sourcing, competitive pricing, and purchase approvals.
• Participate in hiring, performance evaluation, and professional development of team members.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation for all projects and assigned responsibilities.
• Collaborate with internal leadership and external agencies to support organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in Project Management or Construction Management, with a proven ability to complete projects from beginning to end according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
• Relevant field experience leading construction projects including cement, drainage, excavation, and related work.
• Strong experience overseeing OSHA compliance in a construction setting, ensuring employees and contractors meet required safety protocols in their day-to-day tasks.
• Proficient in MS Office suite including Excel, Word, Outlook email and calendar.
• Proactive self-starter with exceptional leadership, communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Valid NYS Driver's License required.
• Bachelor degree in Project Management or Construction Management preferred.
• Experience in budget management and cost-control practices.
• Ability to work effectively with regulatory agencies and maintain compliance with applicable laws.
• High level of integrity, accountability, and sound judgment.
