Custodial Accounting Supervisor

Role and Responsibilities

The Custodial Accounting Supervisor is responsible for leading and planning the billing operations within the Accounting department for the company. The Custodial Accounting Supervisor performs accounting functions, maintains records, understands reimbursement requirements, has the ability to prioritize, plan and direct the department. The position is responsible for designing, implementing and enforcing policies and procedures, as well as streamlining effective billing processes. The Custodial Accounting Supervisor reports directly to the Custodial Accounting Manager. The Custodial Accounting Supervisor is required to perform the following duties and undertake the following responsibilities in a professional manner.

Oversee and streamline billing and collections processes.Supervise other Accounting/Billing personnel.Perform month-end closing of the billing group information.Maintain compliance with all governmental and regulatory agencies.Plan and implement quality assurance for all processes.Special program/billing planning and implementation.Identify and report to management payer issues with regards to billing and collection.Process accounts and maintain appropriate records in a timely manner.Develop accounting staff.Perform other duties as may arise from time to time and as may be assigned to the EmployeeAbide by all obligations under HIPAA related to Protected Health Information (PHI).If a HIPAA violation is discovered, whether individually or by another, you must report the violation to the Compliance Officer and/or Human Resources.Attend, complete, and demonstrate competency in all required HIPAA Training offered by the company.Flexibility to understand, appreciate and embrace that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee. Supervisory Responsibility

This position is responsible for supervising Accounting department staff.

Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkFull-time/Salaried/Exempt.Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00AM to 5:00PM CT. We cover clients from West to East Coast, work times must be adjusted to cover meetings in all time zones. Ability to work extended hours, weekends and holidays pursuant with industry demands.Travel

Minimal travel expected for this position.

Required Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree or relevant experience.Knowledge of QuickBooks Enterprise: 2 yearsAccount Receivable Processes: 2 yearsAccount Payable processes: 2 yearsMicrosoft Word and Excel: 2 yearsHealth Insurance experienceBenefits experienceTPA experience
