New England Tractor Trailer Training School (NETTTS) is seeking an experienced HVAC/R Technician to join our team as a Part-Time Instructor. This is a great opportunity for a skilled technician who wants to share their knowledge in a classroom and hands-on lab environment—without the daily wear and tear of field service.

Position SummaryThe HVAC/R Instructor is responsible for teaching both classroom and hands-on lab instruction in the HVAC/R Technician program. Instructors work with students to build the practical skills and knowledge needed to begin entry-level careers in the HVAC/R industry.
Essential ResponsibilitiesTeach HVAC/R classes and hands-on labs using the NETTTS curriculum
Demonstrate HVAC/R procedures, tools, and techniques in the training lab
Prepare instructional materials and lab activities
Administer and grade tests and record student progress
Track and report student attendance
Assist students who may need additional support or guidance
Maintain training equipment and lab areas
Stay current with HVAC/R technology and industry practices
Attend occasional instructor meetings and training sessions
Follow school policies and ensure students do the same
Minimum 3 years of experience as a licensed HVAC/R technician
Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems and service practices
Desire to mentor and train new technicians
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly
Professional attitude and strong interpersonal skills
Enjoys teaching and helping others learn
Patient and supportive with students
Enthusiastic about the HVAC/R trade
Comfortable demonstrating hands-on skills in a lab environment
