About This Position
JOB SUMMARY: The accounting department contributes to PROSOCO's success by providing current, accurate and complete accounting services and financial information in a timely manner. Accounting activities are conducted in an ethical manner and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Daily bank reporting
- Monthly journal entries
- Assist in developing new financial reports to improve data visibility
Inventory & Cost Management
- Weekly inventory adjustments and oversight, particularly within a manufacturing environment.
Compliance & Audit
- Prepare documentation for annual audits
- Review travel expenses to ensure adherence to company policy
Sales & Incentive Operations
- Calculate and report monthly rebates, royalties, and sales commissions.
Budgeting & Strategy
- Support the annual budgeting process
- Cross training with others in accounting to help when needed in the absence of other personnel within the department.
Other Duties & Responsibilities:
- Complete all company training as assigned.
- Complete assigned month end processes.
- Special reporting projects, as assigned.

Requirements:KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Advanced Excel Proficiency: Must be comfortable with complex spreadsheets used for commission, rebate, and royalty calculations.
- Manufacturing knowledge and background is a plus.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented with an aptitude of problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) for interaction with customers and internal employees.
- Analytical Detail: Ability to manage and process a large quantity of financial data accurately and timely.
- Adaptability: Capacity to cross-train and assist in various accounting functions as needed.
- Reliable, highly motivated, self-starter
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Stationary Positioning: Regularly required to sit for prolonged periods at a desk. Some roles may also require frequent standing at a workstation.
- Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, data entry, and operating a calculator or other office equipment.
- Vision: Must have close visual acuity to read printed materials, view computer screens, and analyze complex data. Some positions require the ability to adjust focus between near and far or have color and depth perception.
- Lifting and Moving: Occasionally required to lift or move objects such as files, ledgers, or office supplies. Weight limits vary by employer but typically range from 10 to 25 pounds, though some roles may require lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Mobility: Occasionally required to walk between work areas, climb stairs, or reach for items. Some roles involve bending, stooping, or kneeling to access filing cabinets.
- Communication: Regular use of hearing and speech to communicate via telephone, in person, or during meetings.
WORKING CONDITION & ENVIRONMENT
The job operates in a standard, climate-controlled office with moderate noise levels routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopies, and scanners.
TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS
- Computer literate with proficiency of Microsoft Office Applications and knowledge of integrated accounting systems.
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) accounting software (Datacor)
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software (Salesforce)
- Emburse Expense Management Software
- 3CX phone system
EDUCATION - CERTIFICATION
Degree in accounting, business finance with a minimum of one (1) year of work-related experience preferred.
