About This Position
Summary:
Provides support to the Loan Servicing team. Will learn several job roles within the Loan Servicing department and supporting departments. Engage in various work assignments, projects, and activities of varying complexity, structured to enable the intern to gain the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform at a professional level. Receive training and mentorship in planning and carrying out activities and assignments.
Essential Functions:

- Collaborate with Loan Servicing team members to support day-to-day operational needs and special projects, while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive customer and bank information.
- Perform accurate imaging, indexing, and quality review of loan documentation, including preparation and scanning from physical loan files, to ensure complete and well-organized electronic loan files in accordance with bank record retention and audit standards.
- Conduct research on loan servicing-related regulations, guidance, and investor requirements (e.g., federal and state regulations, agency guidelines), summarizing findings for review by Loan Servicing leadership.
- Participate in the review and updating of loan servicing procedures and job aids by identifying gaps, documenting current processes, and incorporating regulatory or operational changes.
- Provide entry- to intermediate-level professional services, under supervision of professional staff and/or faculty personnel, as appropriate to the day-to-day operating objectives of the unit.
- Undertake and/or participate in projects and programs within the department that are designed to develop professional skills and expertise appropriate to the needs of the organization.
- Interact directly with colleagues, clientele, and/or other internal or external constituencies in the planning of assignments and the resolution of day-to-day operational problems.
- Receive guidance, training, and mentoring from professional personnel in planning and carrying out activities and assignments.
- May undertake related studies or enrichment programs as appropriate to the specific objectives of the operating unit.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Business Development/Sales, or another comparable field studies highly desirable.
- Verbal and written communication capability.
- Ability to organize work, schedule time and work with a team or independently.
- Ability to work within a professional environment.
- Ability to work with confidentiality information.
Supervisory Requirements:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional work environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, monitors, mouse, keyboard, phones, printers, scanners, photocopiers, filing cabinets, calculator, and fax machines.

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
