Packaging Room Operator at New Hope Mills Manufacturing Inc – Auburn, New York

Position Summary
Perform various tasks to support packing dry-mix into finished units according to specification.

 Fill food packages with dry-mix product according to production schedule and product specification.
 Ensure part number(s) and lot number(s) are properly recorded and tracked.
 Operate various industrial machinery such as augers, conveyors, hand sifters, scales, sewing
machines, sealing machines, filling machines, boxing machines, metal detectors, air spray devices
and vacuum cleaners.
 Operate various electronic devices such as computers, tablets and scanners.
 Cross-train and switch between multiple workstations in the packing area.
 Perform equipment cleaning and change-over according to production schedule.
 Perform packing area cleaning according to cleaning schedules.
 Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills
 Ability in basic math ability to handle counting in production processes.
 Possess finger and hand dexterity and necessary endurance for repeated tasks.
 Perform tasks that will result in contact with some food allergens. (Company will advise)
 Ability to stand and maneuver for long periods of time.
 High School Diploma/GED or equivalent education.
 Maintain integrity of highly sensitive/confidential information.
 Demonstrate commitment to company values, policies and procedures.
 Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and regularly lift objects of up to 60 lbs.
 Ability to work well with colleagues in a professional & organized manner.

Desired skills
 2+ years of similar position experience.
 Proficiency in basic use of computers and Microsoft Office Applications.
 Machinery operation experience, especially Pallet Jack and Forklift experience.
 Experience in the manufacturing and food industry.
