About This Position
Position Overview: The Accounts Receivable Clerk I will be responsible for processing incoming payments, ensuring accurate and timely billing, and maintaining positive customer relationships. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in financial software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Invoice Processing:
- Generate and issue invoices to clients based on sales orders and contracts.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of billing information.
- Process invoices in various customer portals (Open Invoice).
- Follow up on overdue invoices and payment discrepancies.
- Payment Processing:
- Record and apply payments to customer accounts.
- Reconcile payments with accounts receivable records.
- Monitor and resolve payment discrepancies and shortfalls.
- Customer Account Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account information.
- Address customer inquiries regarding billing, payments, and account status.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients to facilitate timely payments.
- Financial Record Keeping:
- Prepare and maintain accounts receivable reports and documentation.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Provide data and reports for audits and financial reviews.
- Compliance and Procedures:
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to accounts receivable.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., Sales, Pricing) to resolve billing issues and ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to departmental goals.

Requirements:Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts receivable or related financial roles.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). NetSuite experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
