About This Position
Senior Data Analyst - HEOR Consulting
What You Bring To The Table
Our client is a boutique HEOR consulting firm. Known for their innovative approach and high-impact work, this firm offers the agility of a small team, where everyone has a real voice, with the prestige of a major industry player.
We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys out-of-the-box problem solving, and is eager to lead study design, dive into complex data structures, and help build out new data platforms.
The Role
In this position, you won't just run models; you will be the architect of the data journey. At least 50% of your time will be dedicated to hands-on programming and data manipulation. You will transform raw US databases into sophisticated analytical datasets to drive healthcare decision-making for global pharmaceutical leaders. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be deeply involved in the technical how to of each project.
You can expect to specifically focus on:- Heavy Data Manipulation: You’ll be the one building analytical datasets from the ground up. This means getting into the weeds with patient selection, programming attrition counts, and working extensively with ICD-10, NDC, and CPT codes.
- The Analyses: A significant portion of the work involves Treatment Pattern Analysis, Clinical Outcomes, and Healthcare Resource Utilization (HCRU) and Cost analysis.
- Study Architecture: You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design HEOR studies, write the Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs), and make sure the methodology is airtight.
- Technical Mentorship: Act as a lead resource for junior staff, providing hands-on guidance on statistical methods and conducting code reviews to ensure programming best practices in SAS and R.
- Strategic Storytelling: You’ll translate complex statistical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for pharmaceutical leaders. It’s about telling the story of the data, not just handing over a spreadsheet.
We are looking for a unique blend of technical mastery and an entrepreneurial spirit. Because of the fast-paced nature of the work, previous experience in an HEOR consulting firm is a requirement.
- Consulting Background: You must come from an HEOR consulting firm. That fast-paced, solutions-driven mindset is non-negotiable here.
- US Database Experience: You need to be deeply familiar with US administrative claims and EMR/EHR data.
- Technical Stack: Expert-level proficiency in SAS and/or R is essential. If you’re familiar with Python or Stata, that’s a bonus.
- The Credentials: A Master’s or PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in HEOR consulting.
- Leadership & Rigor: You have a meticulous eye for code auditing and a natural ability to mentor junior staff.

Posted Salary: Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and training. This range reflects base salary only and does not include eligibility for bonus program or other benefits.
