American Pride Bank was founded in 2007 by first-generation Americans and entrepreneurs to ensure everyone has fair access to financial products and services needed to achieve their American Dream. Our mission is to build a diverse-owned bank that serves ambitious, underestimated people and places, creating pathways for generational wealth, growing local economies, and reducing economic disparities. We are more than a bank; we are trusted partners who ensure every customer and business owner can achieve their American Dream. We take pride in seeing our communities prosper and knowing we played a part in that success. Our niche is serving small business owners, providing dignity in banking, and making people feel seen and valued. We are seeking a high-caliber Retail Mortgage Sales Manager with 1520 years of experience to lead our production efforts. This role is designed for a visionary leader who specializes in complex lending landscapes, specifically Non-QM , Jumbo , and non-traditional mortgage banking products.
The ideal candidate is not just a manager but a team builder capable of recruiting, developing, and retaining a top-tier roster of Retail Loan Officers. You will be responsible for expanding our market footprint in the Southeast by leveraging your deep industry expertise to navigate specialized loan structures that traditional lenders often overlook.

Sales Strategy & Execution: Design and implement strategic sales plans to achieve monthly production goals, focusing on high-margin Non-QM and Jumbo opportunities.
Pipeline Management: Oversee the regional loan pipeline to ensure timely processing, underwriting, and closing while maintaining strict adherence to compliance and quality standards.
Product Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Non-QM (P&L, WVOE, Bank Statement, DSCR, Asset Depletion) and Jumbo products, providing technical guidance to Loan Officers on complex deal structures.
Market Expansion: Identify and capitalize on market trends within the non-traditional banking sector to gain a competitive edge.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with operations, underwriting, and secondary marketing teams to streamline workflows for specialized product lines.
Experience: 1520 years of proven experience in mortgage banking, with at least 710 years in a leadership or sales management capacity.
Product Mastery: Extensive, hands-on experience with Non-QM (Non-Qualified Mortgage) , Jumbo , and non-traditional lending programs. You must understand the nuances of non-agency underwriting guidelines.
Recruitment Track Record: A documented history of building and scaling retail sales teams from the ground up.
Licensing: Current NMLS license in good standing.
Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to "sell" the companys value proposition to both recruits and high-net-worth clients.
Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
Core Competencies
Strategic Leadership: Ability to think long-term while managing daily sales activities.
Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of CRM systems (Salesforce), Encompass, and pricing engines.
Problem Solving: Expert at restructuring complex files to find a path to "Yes" for non-traditional borrowers.
Integrity: Unwavering commitment to ethical lending practices and regulatory compliance
