Job Description
Project Planning and Execution
• Review defined project scope objectives and deliverables with the PSR and or customer according to the documents provided at the project turnover meeting by the PSR.
• Develop detailed project timelines and schedules allocating resources to meet deadlines.
• work directly with PSR's to manage all material financial and manpower performance in the field.
Budget and Cost Management
• Accurately track project estimates, budgets and performance throughout the project life cycle
• Monitor costs including labor materials and equipment ensuring projects remain within financial constraints
• Manage procurement of necessary HVAC equipment and materials.
• Participate in the weekly POC meeting being prepared to report on projects material and manpower status as well as forecasting future needs.
Team leadership and coordination
• Lead coordinate and manage Lead Tech’s, field staff and sub-contractors.
• Work with project coordinator to schedule field personnel on both a short- and long-term basis.
• Provide mentorship technical guidance and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards for all field personnel. Reporting needs to the project coordinator by 2:00 PM each day.
• Resolve conflicts and maintain high productivity levels.
• Manage all materials, including equipment and consumables, to ensure they are on site when they are needed.
Quality assurance and compliance
• Conduct site inspections to ensure HVAC systems are installed according to the code, specifications and industry standards.
• Implement quality assurance protocols testing and validation of HVAC systems.
Risk management and problem solving
• Identify and assess and mitigate risks throughout project execution whether they be financial or safety related.
• Address technical challenges unexpected delays or supply chain issues promptly to avoid disruption.
• Work with the PSR to develop and implement contingency plans to manage project risks.
Communication and client relations
• Maintain regular communications with customers to understand requirements and provide updates and address concerns.
• Coordinate with architects, customer representatives, contractors, engineers and suppliers to ensure project alignment.
Administrative and post project duties
• Provide input to the PSR’s on labor and materials needed for change orders.
• Work with PSR’s to submit and track all RFI’s.
• Conduct post project evaluations to capture lessons learned and identify areas for project or process improvement.
• Working with our Safety Team, ensure work environment safety and compliance with health standards throughout the project.
The HVAC Project Manager Foreman will also support forecasting, billing, cost control, and overall project profitability while collaborating closely with field staff, leadership, subcontractors, and customers.
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in construction or engineering, OR 5+ years of relevant trade experience, plus at least 5 years of hands-on construction project management overseeing trade-specific work. Strong communication, customer service, technical evaluation, and problem-solving skills are essential.
A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required. Preferred qualifications include OSHA certification, EPA license, or Maine/NH gas, oil, or plumbing licenses.
The position operates Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional additional hours, and involves a mix of office and jobsite environments with regional travel and occasional overnight trips.
