This role is a high-impact fundraising position focused on building and strengthening relationships with individual donors to drive meaningful support for a mission dedicated to improving outcomes for children and families. You will lead the cultivation and stewardship of a portfolio of mid- to high-capacity donors, developing tailored engagement strategies that inspire long-term philanthropic commitment. Operating in a fully remote and mission-driven environment, this position blends strategic relationship management with hands-on fundraising execution. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to identify funding opportunities and craft compelling donor experiences. The role requires a proactive, relationship-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented nonprofit setting. It offers the opportunity to help scale a developing major gifts program with significant long-term impact.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of approximately 100–125 major donors, cultivating and stewarding relationships with prospects capable of giving between $1,000 and $25,000.
- Develop and execute personalized donor engagement and moves management strategies to retain, upgrade, and deepen donor relationships.
- Lead donor qualification efforts across a broader pipeline of approximately 300 prospects to identify long-term giving potential.
- Collaborate with internal teams and leadership to design funding opportunities, proposals, and solicitation strategies aligned with organizational priorities.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to support donor cultivation, engagement, and stewardship activities across multiple channels.
- Maintain accurate and timely donor records in CRM systems, ensuring high-quality data tracking and reporting.
- Contribute to the development of fundraising strategies, campaigns, and best practices to strengthen overall development operations.
- 7+ years of experience in donor-facing fundraising, ideally within large nonprofit organizations or mission-driven environments.
- Proven track record of successfully soliciting and closing major gifts, including contributions in the five-figure range.
- Strong experience managing donor portfolios and building long-term relationships with high-net-worth individuals.
- Ability to engage, influence, and build trust with diverse stakeholders across cultural, social, and political backgrounds.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a self-directed, goal-oriented fundraising environment.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with experience working alongside executive leadership, boards, and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in donor CRM systems such as Salesforce or similar platforms.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to use insights and analytics to inform fundraising strategy and segmentation.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; advanced experience in nonprofit fundraising or related fields strongly valued.
- Competitive annual salary ranging from $105,000 to $115,000, based on experience.
