About This Position
POSITION SUMMARY
The Entry Level Maintenance Supervisor supports daily maintenance operations by performing hands on equipment repair and preventive maintenance while also assisting with task coordination, documentation, and team guidance. This role is ideal for a technician transitioning into leadership, combining technical work with early supervisory responsibilities to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and efficient production flow.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- 70% Hands-on Technical Work
- Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting on production equipment.
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks and equipment inspections.
- Assist with machine adjustments, setups, and minor repairs to support production teams.
- Identify root causes of equipment issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain tools, work areas, and equipment in a clean and safe condition.
- Document maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment history.
- 30% Supervisory & Coordination Duties
- Help assign daily maintenance tasks and follow up on work progress.
- Support the implementation and tracking of preventive maintenance schedules.
- Provide guidance and informal training to junior technicians and operators.
- Communicate equipment status, downtime updates, and repair needs to supervisors and production leads.
- Assist with spare parts inventory tracking and vendor coordination.
- Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with safety procedures such as lockout/tagout.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Ability to read manuals, diagrams, and work instructions.
- Solid communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work safely around machinery and lift moderate weights.
- Interest in developing leadership and coordination skills.
