Jordahl Engineering & Mechanical LLC is seeking a highly skilled HVAC Service Technician with direct commercial and industrial experience to join our Field Operations team. This role focuses exclusively on servicing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex HVAC systems in commercial and industrial environments.
You will work hands-on with large-scale mechanical systems while collaborating with engineers, project managers, and fellow technicians on advanced Design-Build projects. This position is ideal for a technician who thrives on solving complex mechanical challenges and delivering reliable, high-quality service in professional, large-scale settings.

Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose, service, and repair commercial and industrial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and VRF systems
Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance to ensure system efficiency and reliability
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
Accurately document service work using internal reporting and service software
Communicate clearly with engineers, project managers, and customers regarding system status and repair needs
Support and assist with field training of junior technicians when applicable
Maintain compliance with all safety policies, OSHA standards, and company protocols
Manage service vehicle inventory, tools, and equipment
10 years of hands-on HVAC service experience in commercial and/or industrial environments
EPA Refrigerant Certification (required)
Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and diagnostics
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and equipment documentation
Proficient with digital diagnostic tools and service management software
Proven ability to work independently and resolve complex mechanical issues
Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
