This role provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for patient access functions across multiple healthcare facilities, ensuring exceptional patient experiences, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. The Director will lead on-site teams, optimize processes, and implement strategies that enhance both patient and staff satisfaction. By leveraging metrics and performance data, this position drives continuous improvement and fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence. The role requires strong partnership with operational leaders, active involvement in staff development, and weekly travel across client locations. Success in this position directly impacts revenue cycle performance, patient engagement, and overall organizational effectiveness.
- Lead and manage patient access teams across multiple sites, establishing clear accountabilities and fostering a culture of collaboration.
- Oversee operations for admitting and registration, ensuring compliance with regulations and organizational standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the patient experience.
- Maintain effective communication and employee engagement within facilities or markets, promoting shared understanding of goals, vision, and strategy.
- Manage budgets, staffing levels, recruitment, and training programs for leadership and patient access staff.
- Track performance using KPIs, driving continuous improvement and accountability across teams.
- Travel weekly to client sites to ensure operational alignment, performance standards, and team development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; CRCR certification required within 9 months, CHAM preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience and 3+ years in patient access or healthcare operations.
- Experience in healthcare provider finance, revenue cycle management, or a related service environment.
- Strong analytical skills and experience using KPIs to manage and improve team performance.
- Financial and project management experience, with the ability to oversee budgets and operational plans.
- Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with weekly travel to multiple client sites.
