Position Summary

Oversees operations of the medical practices. Stays abreast of all State and Federal rules & regulations, as they relate to the clinical and administrative segments of the practice. Functions as Medical Group Management liaison to the St. Joseph/Candler Medical Group Practices. Responsibilities include oversight of practice operations, working with operations managers to develop best practices, including oversight of employee functions, liaison for Vice President with the physicians, analysis of account receivable practices, responsible for oversight of monthly P & L statements. Develops and implements policies and procedures, focus on standardization of all MGM group practices.

Core Job Functions
- Prepares and monitors budget. Responsible for yearly evaluations of all staff, property management and supporting SJ/C Administration. Monthly reports, special reports and presentations are completed on time. Overall, responsible for all day-to-day operations of the departments and programs. Participates actively as the departmental leader and provides leadership to all staff. Coordinates and demonstrates expertise in all aspects of managed care and key relationships. Completes administrative tasks timely.
- Assures all distribution processes are operating appropriately and communicates procurement and logistical functions. Assures staff are courteous, use proper phone etiquette and conduct themselves within the spirit of the SJ/C Mission and Values.

Strong collaboration relationships with physician providers which engages them in evaluating and improving clinical care among their peers. Focuses on clinical quality indicators for assigned patient population and report cards. Functions as physician liaison for service line physicians.

Assist in creating and managing physician residency/fellowship programs and enhancing curricula. Collaborates with Administration to evaluate and manage training quality and support faculty development.
