Driver Assistant at Texas Wood Supply – Weslaco, Texas

Texas Wood Supply is a Manufacturing Hardwood Moulding Company that operates 7 retail stores and 3 production sites throughout Texas. We are looking for a Driver Assistant with a positive attitude and sense of urgency. The ideal candidate will also have excellent customer service skills and be able to work in a team environment.

Accountabilities

• Assist company drivers with the deliveries
• Load and unload delivery trucks
• Contact customers to confirm delivery details
• Conduct routine vehicle maintenance inspections
• Verify delivery confirmation
• Perform general warehouse tasks. Including: receiving, organizing, and storing inventory
• Assist in the assembly and production of door components as part of the manufacturing process
• Operate tools and machinery safely and efficiently
• May be required to drive company vehicle as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Texas Class C Driver's License required
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Able to Operate GPS

Physical Demands:

• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and more than 50 lbs. with assistance
• Perform repetitive tasks
• Sit or stand for extended periods.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Basic computer and math skills required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
