About This Position

POSITION SUMMARY

University Health Partners of Hawaii (UHP) is actively seeking to recruit six highly qualified and dedicated part-time or on-call Hematologists-Oncologists. These crucial positions will play a vital role in our ongoing commitment to advancing medical knowledge through robust research initiatives and active participation in cutting-edge clinical trials. We partner with Hawaii Pacific Health on collaborative positions to allow dedicated academic time to research. Opportunity for academic appointment with the University of Hawai‘i Cancer Center. Duties may be carried out via position.

Oahu positions: Primary focus areas include thoracic/lung, genitourinary (GU), gastrointestinal (GI), breast, and general oncology. The breast-focused position is exclusively dedicated to breast cancer, which constitutes 30% of our patient population.

Kauai position: The position on Kauai is for general hematology/oncology.

Note: Candidates with interest in other sub-specializations may also be considered.

HOURS: On-Call or Part-Time opportunities available

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in hematology/oncology is required (new graduates who are board eligible will be considered).
  • Candidates board certified in oncology only will be considered, though dual board certification is preferred.
  • Must possess an MD or DO degree.
