Summary

Performs the general housekeeping and laundry functions, which may include washing soiled linens, drying and ironing, stocking linen carts, delivery of clean linen and collection of soiled linen in accordance with all local, state, and federal regulations.

• Performs day-to-day housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Works independently, effectively coordinates workflow, and performs all general cleaning and housekeeping according to policies and procedures.
• Follows established safety precautions while performing tasks or using equipment and supplies.
• Maintains all standards of cleanliness in assigned areas established by policies.
• Makes productive use of all equipment and supplies.
• Follows all HIPAA guidelines and promotes and ensures patient safety.
• Fulfills mission statement by performing job duties with a high level of customer service while contributing to a positive and professional environment.
• Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Previous housekeeping and healthcare experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification

Basic Life Support (CPR)

Language Skills

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively with patients, visitors, and employees.
