QUALITY LAB TECHNICIAN at Ei6 Machining – CLEVELAND, Ohio

SUMMARY OBJECTIVE

The Quality Lab Technician interprets lab results and issues reports based on the results. The position makes recommendations for adjusting process conditions to ensure that quality standards are met.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for testing physical and chemical properties of incoming and outgoing graphite products.
• Documents test results for every inspection; use a computer program to record findings.
• Performs inventory analysis for the lab supplies and ensures all production inspections are completed on time.
• Maintains quality control for product identified for inspection. Logs status of Lot Data.
• Assists quality manager to issue certification reports based on results.
• Make recommendations for adjusting process conditions to ensure that quality standards are met.
• Works with production in product development and moving non-conforming material that is segregated.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area. Equally important is to follow all safety protocols.
• Supports the organization on specific projects to promote the overall technical growth of the company.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 1-year lab or technical experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Previous experience with a quality system preferred.
• Mastery of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
