Registered Nurse (RN), Intensive Care Unit ICU at RWJBarnabas Health – Elizabeth, New Jersey

Job Overview:

Trinitas Intensive Care Unit is a collaborative closed 25 bed capacity mixed with medical and surgical cases under 25-year-Intensivist Care Program. We provide management of acutely ill patients with life-threatening conditions requiring complex assessment, high-intensity therapies and interventions, and continuous nursing vigilance. Our care management consists of care bundles based on evidence-based practices that are executed with compassion and care.

Our experienced Intensive Care Nurses work with all patients and their families to create healing, humane, and caring behaviors in a safe environment while focusing also on patient advocacy. They are supported by a clinical nurse specialist that provides education and the opportunity to learn. They are also assisted by a clinical coordinator who takes charge 24 hours/day.

Scheduling Requirements:

• Full-Time Night Shift
• Monday - Friday, rotating weekends and holiday rotation

Required:

• ICU experience OR at least 1 year of Med/Surg or Telemetry experience required
• Current and active New Jersey RN licensure is required
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) is required upon hire
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) upon hire or within 6 months of the start date.
• Required National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification within 1 year of employment
