This role is centered on driving sales growth and technical adoption of young animal nutrition solutions within the dairy and calf-rearing sector. You will serve as a trusted advisor to producers, dealers, and dairy operations, helping them improve calf health, performance, and overall herd outcomes. This is a highly field-oriented role where relationship-building, technical credibility, and commercial impact are essential.

Accountabilities
  • Execute a strategic territory sales plan to drive growth and expand market share for calf and heifer nutrition solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with dairy producers, dealers, calf ranches, veterinarians, and nutritionists.
  • Deliver on-farm technical support, training, troubleshooting, and consultation to improve animal health and performance outcomes.
  • Plan and conduct feeding trials, demonstrations, and performance evaluations to generate proof of product value.
  • Collaborate with internal sales, marketing, and technical teams to align on business priorities and growth initiatives.
  • Drive demand creation through producer meetings, industry events, and targeted sales activities.
  • Analyze customer and sales data to inform strategy, optimize territory performance, and identify new opportunities.
Requirements

This role requires strong technical knowledge of dairy production and young animal nutrition, combined with proven sales experience in the agricultural or animal health sector. Candidates should be highly organized, customer-focused, and capable of managing multiple relationships and priorities across a defined territory.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in agricultural sales, dairy industry roles, or animal nutrition-focused positions.
  • Strong understanding of calf and heifer management, animal husbandry, and nutritional principles.
  • Proven ability to build trust-based relationships with producers and industry stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly.
  • Ability to analyze data and apply insights to sales strategy and customer recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual collaboration tools.
  • Willingness to travel 25–40% overnight, primarily within assigned territory.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary range of $70,800 to $106,200 depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer contributions.
  • Paid time off, holidays, and employee well-being programs.
  • Education assistance and ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Life and disability insurance coverage.
  • Flexible work tools and field support resources.
  • Opportunity to work directly with dairy producers and influence animal health outcomes at scale.
