The Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and Wound Care nurse provides direct patient care and coordinates hyperbaric oxygen therapy and wound care. Nursing care is focused on specialized assessment, diagnosis, planning, treatment and evaluations of patients receiving hyperbaric oxygen therapy and wound care. The Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and Wound Care nurse is skilled with care and management of patients with chronic wounds resistant to healing and may have specialized training in the field of hyperbaric oxygen therapy and wound care.

Education

Required: Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing or NLN approved program

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Experience
-
Required: 6 months of previous nursing experience or previous MA/LPN experience, particularly in an outpatient or ambulatory clinic setting.

Preferred: Previous nursing experience, especially in outpatient or ambulatory clinic setting

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficient Computer skills

Wound Care Certification preferred

Required: Current Registered Nurse License active in the state of Missouri

Must obtain American Heart Association BLS within 90 days of hire

Obtain Hyperbaric Registered Nurse Certification within 2 years of employment

ACLS Certification within 1 year of employment
