Job Summary
A nursing extern will participate in a flexible Externship with a designated RN peer mentor for a patient, or a group of patients, for a designated time frame and provides care for these patients through therapeutic use of self, the patient care/problem solving or nursing process and through other health care team members.
Externship experience may be repeated to allow for up to 4 semesters total while in school.
