QUALIFICATIONS

A. Professional

• Current certification as an Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic in the State of North Carolina.
• Current approval to function at the EMT-Paramedic level in Carteret County as approved by the Carteret County ALS Medical Director.
• Current North Carolina drivers license with a safe driving record and preferred completion of an emergency vehicle-driving course.
• Knowledge of current trends and techniques related to Emergency Medical Services and responsibilities in providing ambulance services.
• BLS Healthcare Provider Certification
• EVOC or EVD preferred
• ACLS
• ITLS/PHTLS must be obtained within one year of hire.
• PEPP or PALS
