JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for working with patients, over the phone and face to face, to inform them of their financial obligations, explain billing and insurance processes, and determine eligibility for financial programs. The Financial Account Specialist services the Blessing Health System and reports within the Revenue Cycle.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training/Experience:
REQUIRED:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office Software.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent time management skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive data, work collaboratively and support efforts of team members, demonstration exceptional customer service and be able to work independently.

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills

PREFERRED:

• Associate degree or equivalent experience

• 3 years’ experience in Healthcare setting with emphasis on patient account principals

• Experience in healthcare insurance

Pay Status:

• NON-EXEMPT HOURLY
