SUMMER RECREATION LEADER POSITIONS
( ) RECREATION LEADER – CAMP HAMP: $17.40 PER HOUR
The City of Northampton Parks and Recreation Department is seeking dynamic individuals looking to make a difference in the lives of children this summer. Be a part of an extraordinary team of staff who are committed to caring and fostering relationships, creating an exciting, safe, wholesome summer camp experience for local kids this summer!
Traditional full day camp fun at Camp Hamp.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Must be 18 Years of age or older required. Qualified Northampton residents will be given first consideration.
Recreation Leaders:
Equivalent of 2 seasons' experience in youth related recreation activities; or, 1 year of college, preferably recreation oriented.
WORK SCHEDULES:
Camp Hamp
(Grades 5-6)
45 hours per week – Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Starting and ending dates will be discussed during interviews.
The programs start in June until August 7, 2026, plus 2 mandatory pre-season training days.
FRINGE BENEFITS:
There are no fringe benefits and no holiday pay for July 4 for this temporary seasonal position.
