Senior Data Center Solutions Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Data Center Solutions Engineer based in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering, sales, and large-scale infrastructure delivery, supporting the design and execution of hyperscale data center solutions for enterprise customers. You will act as a key technical authority across pre-sales and delivery phases, translating complex client requirements into scalable, buildable solutions. Working closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Procurement teams, you will shape RFP responses, technical proposals, and implementation strategies. The environment is fast-paced, highly collaborative, and centered on precision in mission-critical infrastructure. Your work will directly influence major data center developments and long-term client partnerships. This is a high-impact role requiring both deep technical expertise and strong commercial awareness.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will lead the design and evaluation of data center solutions aligned with customer requirements while ensuring technical accuracy and delivery feasibility. You will support RFP/RFI processes, contribute to sales engineering materials, and collaborate across teams to produce high-quality proposals. You will also assist implementation and construction teams to ensure alignment with contractual commitments and project timelines. Responsibilities include maintaining internal knowledge libraries, supporting Salesforce data on capacity and development tracking, and contributing to procurement coordination for OFCI equipment. You will participate in technical documentation, site visits, OEM engagement, and cross-functional development meetings. Additionally, you will help develop sourcing strategies, monitor project costs and schedules, and support continuous improvement of engineering and delivery processes.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in data center solutions engineering, infrastructure design, or related technical engineering roles
  • Strong understanding of data center architecture, construction practices, and hyperscale infrastructure environments
  • Experience supporting RFP/RFI processes and translating technical requirements into customer-facing deliverables
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams)
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across engineering, sales, procurement, and operations teams
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel as needed for site and OEM engagement
Benefits
  • Competitive base salary with quarterly project bonus and annual performance bonus
  • 401(k) plan with up to 4% employer match, fully vested upon enrollment
  • 100% employer-paid medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability coverage
  • Paid time off and sick leave
  • Exposure to large-scale hyperscale data center projects and enterprise clients
  • Collaborative, cross-functional engineering and commercial environment
  • Ongoing applications accepted
