This role plays a critical part in shaping and managing global employee benefits programs that directly impact the wellbeing and experience of a distributed workforce.
You will oversee the administration, optimization, and continuous improvement of health, welfare, retirement, and leave programs across multiple regions and vendors.
The position combines analytical depth with hands-on operational execution, ensuring benefits programs are compliant, competitive, and cost-effective.
You will work closely with HR, payroll, and external vendors to deliver a seamless and supportive employee experience across the full benefits lifecycle.
A key focus of the role is driving process improvements, automation, and data-driven insights to enhance program efficiency and scalability.

- Manage day-to-day administration of global benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement, life, disability, and wellness offerings, ensuring accurate execution and employee support.
- Support end-to-end leave of absence administration, including FMLA, parental leave, disability leave, and regional leave programs, while ensuring compliance and accurate payroll coordination.
- Serve as a key liaison with external vendors, brokers, and TPAs, monitoring performance, resolving issues, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Maintain and improve benefits data integrity across HRIS, payroll, and vendor systems, identifying and resolving discrepancies through auditing and troubleshooting.
- Develop and maintain reporting dashboards and analytics to track utilization, cost trends, and overall benefits program performance, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
- Support compliance activities related to ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, GDPR, and 401(k) governance, including audits, testing, and required filings.
- Assist in annual benefits cycles, including renewals, benchmarking, open enrollment planning, and implementation of new or enhanced programs.
- Create and maintain employee-facing communications and educational materials to improve understanding and engagement with benefits offerings.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and enhanced employee experience across benefits and leave programs.
- 4–6+ years of experience in benefits administration, leave management, or total rewards operations, ideally in a global or multi-state environment.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. health and welfare programs, retirement plans, and leave policies, with exposure to global benefits preferred.
- Experience working with benefits vendors, brokers, and third-party administrators in a fast-paced HR or People Operations environment.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret data, build dashboards, and generate actionable insights.
- Familiarity with compliance requirements including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and related regulatory frameworks.
- Experience supporting annual enrollment cycles, renewals, and benefits program optimization initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently diagnose issues and implement sustainable solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to support employees and collaborate across HR, payroll, and leadership teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, high-volume environment.
