This leadership role plays a central part in shaping and advancing institutional effectiveness across academic programs. It focuses on driving the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of assessment and accreditation frameworks that ensure high-quality student learning outcomes. The position serves as a key connector between academic leadership, faculty, and institutional governance bodies, translating strategic priorities into actionable assessment practices. It oversees the integrity of curriculum alignment, learning outcome measurement, and accreditation readiness across programs. Operating in a highly collaborative academic environment, the role supports data-informed decision-making and faculty development. It also plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with accreditation standards while fostering innovation in teaching and learning assessment.
This role is responsible for leading the design, execution, and continuous improvement of academic assessment and accreditation strategies across programs while ensuring alignment with institutional goals.
- Provide strategic leadership for academic assessment initiatives, ensuring effective measurement of student learning outcomes and program effectiveness
- Serve as the primary liaison between academic units, faculty, and university governance and accreditation bodies
- Oversee the development, implementation, and quality assurance of assessment tools, rubrics, surveys, and reporting systems
- Lead program review processes, accreditation reporting, and self-study preparation in collaboration with academic leadership
- Guide curriculum alignment efforts to ensure measurable learning outcomes and compliance with accreditation standards
- Manage assessment data collection, analysis, and reporting to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Support faculty development by delivering training and resources related to assessment practices and best practices
The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in higher education assessment and accreditation, with strong leadership, analytical, and collaboration skills.
- Master’s degree required in a related field; doctorate preferred
- 12+ years of experience in higher education assessment, accreditation, or academic program evaluation
- Deep understanding of assessment theory, curriculum mapping, and student learning outcomes design
- Experience with regional and programmatic accreditation standards and processes
- Strong background in statistical analysis and use of assessment management systems
- Proven ability to collaborate across faculty, academic leadership, and administrative teams
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills
- Strong leadership mindset with the ability to influence, guide, and drive institutional improvement initiatives
