About This Position
Position Description:
The manufacturing Assembler Level III is a key contributor to the manufacturing team, bringing advanced skills and expertise to the production process. This position requires a high level of technical proficiency, problem-solving abilities, and leadership qualities to ensure the successful assembly of complex products and the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. The Assembler Level III plays a crucial role in driving efficiency, quality, and innovation within the production environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None Competencies:
Extensive knowledge on complex assemblies and fabrication methods for purposes of completing assemblies and diagnosing and implementing solutions.
Use a computer to track the time and labor worked on each job.
Complete required paperwork, such as production logs and quality assurance forms, accurately and in a timely manner.
Perform assembly without instruction between all the companys entities.
Provide guidance and training.
Ability to work independently on projects. Essential Functions:
Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex assembly issues, utilizing advanced problem-solving skills and technical expertise to diagnose root causes and implement effective solutions.
Provide guidance and training to Level I and Level II assemblers, sharing knowledge and expertise to facilitate their skill development and performance improvement.
Responsible for gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
Able to set up the equipment for assembly needs.
Ensure the quality of assembled products by inspecting parts for defects, irregularities, or damages.
Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality in assembly operations.
Prepares work to be accomplished by studying instructions, prints, and parts lists.
Able to measure parts with calipers and other equipment as needed.
Complete in-process deburr and packaging of parts when necessary.
Provide guidance and support to Level I assemblers, sharing knowledge and expertise to facilitate their skill development and performance improvement.
Provide feedback to Program Managers, Quality, and other departments as needed.
Assemble basic, moderate and complex parts and components following detailed instructions, blueprints, and diagrams with assistance with minimal assistance.
Operate assembly equipment and tools safely and efficiently, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
Identify and troubleshoot assembly issues or malfunctions, escalating more complex problems to higher-level staff as needed.
Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety in the assembly area.
Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic and commitment to meeting production goals and deadlines. Non-essential Functions:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to pass the requirements to purchase a firearm legally.
A minimum of 15 years of experience in manufacturing assembly with demonstrated proficiency in complex assembly tasks and quality control processes is required.
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing production needs and priorities.
Strong mechanical aptitude and technical proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
Work in a small area with a group of people. Essential Physical Requirements:
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
Good hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity to manipulate small parts and tools accurately.
