Position Overview

East Brown Cow Management Inc. is seeking a motivated, full-time Maintenance Technician Trainee to join our team in the Greater Portland area. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in property maintenance. You will work alongside experienced technicians to learn the skills necessary to maintain and repair commercial properties while providing excellent service to tenants.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist with general maintenance, cleaning, and repair tasks across managed properties

• Learn to troubleshoot building systems and respond to tenant maintenance requests

• Support preventative maintenance programs to ensure building performance

• Provide excellent customer service and interact professionally with tenants

• Work collaboratively with team members and vendors

• Maintain a safe and organized work environment

• Track and document completed work and time entries

• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule (as skills develop)

Compensation Package/Benefits

• $19.00–$21.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a full-time, non-exempt position eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable wage and hour laws

Requirements:

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

• Interest in building maintenance or trade skills

• Willingness to learn and be trained on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repairs

• Basic computer skills (email and work order systems)

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic

• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, bending, and standing for extended periods

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

• Employment is subject to a background check conducted in accordance with applicable law.
