Job Description

Position Overview

The Cleanroom Quality Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring all cleanroom construction activities, materials, and installations meet strict ISO, GMP, and project‑specific quality standards. This role oversees inspection processes, documentation, testing, and compliance across all phases of cleanroom build‑out, working closely with project managers, field teams, and commissioning specialists to deliver high‑performance controlled environments.

Core Responsibilities
  • Quality Program Leadership — Develop, implement, and maintain the project’s cleanroom QC plan, including inspection protocols, testing requirements, and acceptance criteria.

  • Material & Installation Inspections — Conduct and document inspections of wall systems, ceiling grids, MEP penetrations, finishes, and cleanroom‑rated materials.

  • ISO & GMP Compliance — Ensure all work aligns with ISO 14644 standards, GMP guidelines, and owner specifications.

  • Environmental Testing Oversight — Coordinate particle counts, airflow testing, pressure differential verification, and cleanliness classification testing.

  • Deficiency Tracking — Manage punch lists, NCRs, and corrective actions to ensure timely resolution and compliance.

  • Documentation Control — Maintain accurate QC logs, inspection reports, test results, and turnover documentation.

  • Cross‑Functional Coordination — Collaborate with construction managers, commissioning teams, and subcontractors to ensure quality expectations are met.

  • Training & Standards Enforcement — Provide guidance to field teams on cleanroom protocols, contamination control, and installation best practices.

  • Continuous Improvement — Identify trends, root causes, and opportunities to enhance quality performance across projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Technical Education — Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, quality assurance, or related field.

  • Cleanroom Experience — 3–7 years of experience in cleanroom construction, commissioning, or quality control.

  • Standards Knowledge — Strong understanding of ISO 14644, GMP, and contamination‑control principles.

  • Inspection & Testing Skills — Experience with particle counting, airflow visualization, pressure testing, and environmental monitoring.

  • Documentation Proficiency — Ability to manage detailed QC records, test reports, and turnover packages.

  • Software Skills — Familiarity with digital QA/QC platforms, BIM tools, and project management software.
