Position Summary
The Vice President of Finance serves as a strategic business partner to the executive leadership team and is responsible for the overall financial management and operational analytics of the organization. Reporting to executive leadership, this role provides financial leadership that supports growth, operational excellence, and long-term enterprise value creation.
The VP of Finance oversees the FP&A, Business Analytics, and Accounting functions, ensuring strong fiscal stewardship, data-driven decision-making, scalable systems, and organizational accountability across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Serve as a key advisor to the executive team on financial strategy, operational performance, growth initiatives, and enterprise risk.
- Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute strategic plans aligned with organizational objectives and private equity ownership expectations.
- Lead financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning processes.
- Provide actionable insights and performance reporting to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Support board-level and investor reporting requirements, including preparation of financial presentations, KPI analysis, and business performance updates.
Financial Management & Oversight
- Maintain overall fiscal responsibility for the organization, including financial planning, cash flow management, budgeting, and financial controls.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Ensure effective internal controls, accounting policies, and financial governance practices are maintained across the organization.
- Manage relationships with outsourced audit and tax providers and coordinate support for annual audit and tax activities.
- Monitor organizational performance against budget and forecast targets and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
Operational Analytics & Business Intelligence
- Lead the Business Analytics function to deliver meaningful operational and financial insights across the organization.
- Develop and maintain KPI dashboards, reporting frameworks, and performance measurement tools.
- Drive data-informed decision-making across clinical, operational, and franchise support functions.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and scalability.
Leadership & Team Development
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and oversight to the FP&A, Business Analytics, and Accounting teams.
- Build and develop high-performing teams through coaching, performance management, and professional development.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and solutions-oriented culture across departments.
- Establish priorities, allocate resources effectively, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required; MBA or CPA preferred.
- 10–15+ years of progressive finance and operational leadership experience, including experience in multi-unit, healthcare, behavioral health, franchising, or private equity-backed environments preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading FP&A, accounting, analytics, and cross-functional operational initiatives.
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning capabilities.
- Experience presenting to executive leadership, boards, and/or private equity stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead teams, influence cross-functional partners, and drive organizational performance.
- Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and executive communication abilities.
