In this role, you will lead a talented group of engineers responsible for developing scalable, high-quality features within a modern security automation platform. You will combine technical expertise, people leadership, and operational excellence to drive execution, improve engineering processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Working closely with architects, product stakeholders, and engineering leaders, you will help shape technical direction while ensuring successful delivery against business priorities. - Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous growth.
- Drive engineering execution by ensuring the team consistently delivers high-quality software solutions on time and in alignment with business objectives.
- Recruit, onboard, motivate, and retain top engineering talent while supporting career development and performance management initiatives.
- Establish and reinforce software development, testing, and quality assurance best practices across the team.
- Collaborate with architecture and technical leadership teams to ensure scalable, maintainable, and effective technical solutions.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, provide constructive feedback, and support individual growth and performance improvement plans.
- Partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to define priorities, roadmaps, and delivery expectations.
- Monitor team performance, identify process improvement opportunities, and implement initiatives that enhance productivity and quality.
- Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and technical challenges clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
- Work closely with other engineering managers to align on organizational objectives, technical strategies, and customer-facing priorities.
- Promote a strong engineering culture focused on innovation, ownership, collaboration, and operational excellence.
- Take overall responsibility for the success, effectiveness, and long-term development of the engineering team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering or related technical roles.
- 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams or serving in a technical leadership capacity.
- Strong hands-on experience with C#, TypeScript, and/or JavaScript development.
- Experience working with SQL databases and document-based database technologies.
- Solid understanding of software architecture, engineering best practices, and modern development methodologies.
- Experience working within Agile development environments and iterative delivery models.
- Proven success recruiting, managing, mentoring, and developing software engineers.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to balance technical excellence, delivery commitments, and team development priorities.
