Position Overview

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager/Supervisor, the Customer Service Lead serves as a key liaison between customers, internal teams, and external partners. This role supports day-to-day customer and technical service operations, mentors team members, and ensures accurate, timely, and high-quality service delivery across all sites.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as a liaison for International, Co-Man, Private Label, and Food Service accounts, ensuring seamless order management from start to finish
  • Support and mentor Customer Service and Technical Customer Service team members; assist with training and onboarding
  • Monitor team workflows, coverage, call volumes, and service metrics; prepare and deliver weekly performance and order reports
  • Identify process improvements, trends, and service gaps; partner with leadership to implement solutions
  • Escalate and resolve customer issues while adhering to company policies and service standards
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of products, systems, programs, and export documentation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, Quality, and Warehouse partners to ensure inventory availability and on-time delivery
  • Prioritize orders, manage expedites, and support new product launches and transitions
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, regulatory, and GMP standards
  • Perform administrative support and assist with special projects as needed
Requirements:

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum 3 years of customer service or inside sales experience, preferably in manufacturing or consumer goods
  • Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring or training others
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and MRP/ERP systems (Ross experience a plus)
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, time-management, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy
  • Strong collaboration, conflict-resolution, and cross-functional teamwork skills
  • Self-motivated, accountable, and flexible to support business needs
  • Previous training or presentation experience preferred
