This is a senior role suited for professionals who want to influence both project outcomes and broader environmental practices.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and support the delivery of reclamation, vegetation management, and site assessment projects within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide senior technical review and approval of reports, work plans, proposals, cost estimates, and regulatory submissions.
  • Act as a key liaison with clients, regulators, and project stakeholders to ensure clear communication and project alignment.
  • Support project managers in planning, execution, and delivery of environmental reclamation programs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, technical procedures, and applicable provincial regulatory frameworks.
  • Contribute to business development efforts by supporting proposals, scopes of work, and client relationship growth.
  • Mentor and train junior and intermediate staff, sharing technical expertise and field experience.
  • Participate in technical practice communities to drive innovation, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements:
  • Degree or technical diploma in environmental science, geology, engineering, land reclamation, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of consulting experience in environmental reclamation, including at least 5 years focused on regulatory closure for oil and gas sites.
  • Professional designation or eligibility for membership in a relevant professional association (e.g., SIA, AIA or equivalent).
  • Strong experience in reclamation project delivery, including revegetation, vegetation management, and detailed site assessments.
  • Solid knowledge of provincial regulatory requirements and environmental closure processes in Western Canada.
  • Experience preparing technical reports, work plans, cost estimates, and regulatory submissions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret environmental data and make informed technical decisions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to mentor and work effectively in collaborative teams.
  • Valid and clean Class 5 driver’s license.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range of approximately CAD 90,000 to 146,000, based on experience and location.
  • Flexible work arrangements, including potential remote options depending on project needs.
  • Opportunity to work on high-impact environmental restoration and reclamation projects across Western Canada.
  • Strong focus on professional development, mentorship, and technical growth.
  • Collaborative, multidisciplinary work environment focused on innovation and sustainability.
  • Exposure to complex regulatory frameworks and advanced reclamation methodologies.
  • Inclusive and supportive workplace committed to equal opportunity and accessibility.
