Job Description

Chemical Key Client Leader

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Chemical Key Client Leader based in the United States.

This role is a senior client leadership position focused on managing and expanding strategic relationships within the chemical sector, where environmental, regulatory, and operational pressures are increasingly complex. You will act as the primary executive partner for major accounts, shaping long-term strategies that align technical environmental services with client business objectives. The role requires deep commercial acumen combined with the ability to translate technical solutions into measurable value for large, industrial clients. You will coordinate cross-functional teams across geographies and service lines to ensure seamless delivery, strong governance, and consistent client outcomes. Acting as both a strategic advisor and growth driver, you will identify new opportunities, strengthen partnerships, and ensure sustained account performance. This is a highly visible role with direct impact on revenue growth, client satisfaction, and enterprise reputation in a mission-driven environmental organization.

Accountabilities:
  • Own and manage enterprise-level relationships with major chemical sector clients, serving as the primary executive point of contact and trusted advisor.
  • Develop and execute multi-year strategic account plans focused on revenue growth, retention, service expansion, and long-term partnership development.
  • Lead cross-functional client solutions teams to ensure aligned delivery across monitoring, engineering, remediation, advisory, and compliance services.
  • Identify, qualify, and advance new business opportunities based on deep understanding of client operations, regulatory pressures, and strategic priorities.
  • Maintain strong CRM discipline (Salesforce), ensuring accurate forecasting, pipeline visibility, and account performance tracking.
  • Act as the internal voice of the client, translating needs, feedback, and expectations into actionable guidance for technical and leadership teams.
  • Monitor overall account health, intervening proactively to manage risks related to quality, budget, schedule, or relationship performance.
  • Partner with marketing, pursuit, and sector leadership teams to drive go-to-market alignment and support major opportunity development.
  • Ensure consistent client engagement cadence, including executive-level check-ins and structured quarterly business reviews.
  • Represent the organization externally at industry events, conferences, and key client forums to strengthen market presence.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in sales, account management, or business development, preferably in environmental, industrial, or technical services.
  • Proven success managing and growing large, complex enterprise accounts ($5M–$20M+ or equivalent scale).
  • Strong ability to translate complex technical solutions into clear commercial and business value.
  • Deep experience using CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, with disciplined pipeline and account management practices.
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to develop long-term account growth and retention strategies.
  • Excellent executive communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills across senior client relationships.
  • Proven cross-functional leadership experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams across geographies.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and convert insights into actionable account strategies.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-accountability, client-facing environments.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package: $150,000 – $200,000 base salary depending on experience.
  • Annual bonus opportunity of 10–15% based on performance.
  • Opportunity to lead high-value strategic accounts within a critical industrial sector.
  • Strong exposure to executive-level client engagement and enterprise decision-making.
  • Career development within a global, mission-driven environmental solutions organization.
  • Collaborative, cross-functional work environment with international scope.
  • Employee-focused culture emphasizing impact, sustainability, and long-term growth.
